Langowal village is situated at a beautiful location on the banks of the Nahar Rakh branch, seven kilometers from Sangla Hill and also houses the office of the Union Council. The population of the village consists of 4 thousand people. Adjacent population of Longowal includes Ishaqpura, Sultanpura and Motipora. Village Mahis in Longowal Union Council. North Chak No. 286 has a population of 3000. The population of Mahis South Chak No. 286 is 2900. The population of Hamrajpura Chak No. 40 is 5017 people. The population of other villages in Langowal union council is 19717 people according to the 2017 census. Most of the people in the village live by farming. Among the crops, wheat, rice and sugercane are particularly noteworthy. The special fruit of the village is guava, which is the reason why the village is famous. There is also a significant number of employed people who are employed in other departments including the Pakistan Army The village has a girls high school for girls which has been upgraded to a high school for the past three years, and a government primary school for boys in which a large number of students are being educated.
