Lazarus H. Reed (or Read; c. 1815 – March 1855)[1] was chief justice of the Supreme Court of the Utah Territory in 1852.

"Chief Justice Lazarus H. Reed, after a short stay in Utah, resigned because of ill-health, and returned to the East where he died in the spring of 1855".[2]

"The Steuben Advocate, of this week, announces the death of the Chief Justice of Utah, Judge Lazarus H. Read at his residence in Bath, in the 40th year of his age. He was a prominent citizen of that place and highly respected by a large circle of relatives. and professional friends".[1]
