Leonardo D'Ambrosio was born on April 9, 2001, in Turin, Italy. From a young age, he was involved in football, playing for the youth academy of Torino F.C. up to the U19 level, and had the opportunity to train with the first team. His early exposure to professional football set the stage for a promising career in the sport.

Youth Career[edit]
In his youth career, D'Ambrosio played for Torino F.C.'s academy, where he demonstrated his burgeoning talent. He was part of the squad that led Torino F.C. to the Italy U18 championship in 2019. Additionally, D'Ambrosio was a member of the U15 and U16 Italian National Team convocations, marking him as one of the promising talents at the national level.
College Career[edit]
Leonardo transitioned to playing Division I soccer at the College of Charleston in the United States. In his two-year college career thus far, he has scored 10 goals and provided 13 assists, a testament to his impact on the field. His impressive performance did not go unnoticed as he was named to the second team All-CAA in both 2022 and 2023 and made the All-CAA Rookie team in 2022.
