Leopoldo Molina Pineda (born 1951) is a Venezuelan philosopher known for his contributions to the philosophy of education and the philosophy of technology. He graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in 1977 and earned his PhD from the University of Michigan in 1984 with a dissertation on "Models of Analysis in Philosophy of Education: a Historical-Critical Study." [1] In 1993 he was a visiting Scholar in the Science, Technology, and Society (STS) Program at Penn State University. Throughout his career, Molina Pineda has critically examined the role of linguistic analysis in philosophy of education, challenging assumptions of its dominance and clarity. He has conducted extensive research on the intersection of technology and human freedom, particularly regarding the socio-technical control of freedom through pedagogical means[2]. Molina Pineda has held positions at various universities in Venezuela, including Universidad de Los Andes (ULA), University of Zulia (LUZ), and Universidad Simon Bolivar (USB). Facing adversity in his native land, he and his wife have sought refuge[3] in Barcelona, Spain, where they currently reside.

He has contributions in Philosophy of the Mind [4], Moral Philosophy [5] and Philosopy of Technology, also as a translator of the works of Juan David García Bacca and Ernesto Mayz Vallenilla in the Book Philosophy of Technology in Spanish Speaking Countries[6], an official publication of the Society for Philosophy and Technology edited by Carl Mitcham.
