- Comment: The subject of this article is clearly not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. The draft would be notable for inclusion on Wikipedia if 3 or more reliable sources (reputable news articles, books, or research papers) cover Lev Kitkin in detail. Noah 💬 02:24, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Lev Kitkin (Russian given name - Киткин, Лев Олегович) is a record producer and DJ born on January 15, 1997, in Orenburg, Russia. In March 2018 the «Dub Forest;[1]» label released his first 12-inch vinyl «Shade» EP.[2] which was entirely sold out worldwide[3] within one month after the release day. Lev also manages his own «Stereo Arts» label group publishing Electronic Dance Music in various genres.
Biography
[edit]Lev showed his passion for music from his life's very beginning. At 7, he started his path by arranging House and Trance tracks using Steinberg Cubase software. He received a vocal education and has always composed different styles of music, recording musical instruments for it. Lev is musically trained in piano and drums; he is a professional electric guitar player and represented two Metalcore bands as a lead guitarist and manager; within several years, he taught DJ-ing, played on the «Alfa Future People» 2016 festival with the headliner of Armin van Buuren, as well as in the «Space» сlub franchise in Moscow splitting the night's lineup with a Techno superstar Gesaffelstein.
In 2019, he enrolled in Carsten Kümmel's[4] «Sound & Music Production» class at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Darmstadt, Germany).
For the past 12 years, Lev is involved in the field of music production. During his entire career, he has been working with many musicians, labels, promoters, and other professionals representing the music industry, completed several musical projects[5][6] together with the German producer Jürgen Frosch (also known as Jay Frog), a member of the legendary «Scooter» band, as well as the American pop vocalist Jimmie Wilson, who represented San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Lev released some of his singles on the labels founded and managed by Lenny Fontana («Housebugs Records»)[7] and Lemongrass («Lemongrass Music»).[8]
During Lev's career, his music has been included in compilations[9][10] containing productions by The Timewriter, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Pavel Khvaleev (an ex-member of the «Moonbeam» duo), and many other recognizable big names in the House music scene.
Influence on Music
[edit]Lev's path to the world of music began at the age of 7 when his elder brother Eugene presented him with a Deep House CD compilation called «Deep Train 5: Sensual Dawn» by The Timewriter released on the «Plastic City» label. After listening to this CD repeatedly, Lev decided he also wanted once to see his name released on the label and a CD other people might love as he did, which he finally managed 11 years later. The Timewriter (also known as Jean Frank Cochois) influenced Lev by covering the pure House grooves with limitless deep and progressive atmospheres while saving genuine music compositions in his works all of which in the early 2000's was enough experimental but still rapidly beloved by the Underground House culture.
Lev's brother German also influenced his musical preferences in the late 2010's. German, as a pianist and symphony orchestra conductor, shared some of the most impressive works from the academic music which made Lev love the art of Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler, Johannes Brahms, Edward Grieg, and Franz Schubert, including for their most famous works as «Die Walküre», «Symphony No. 8», «Ein Deutsches Requiem», and more.

[edit]Since his very childhood, Lev has been passionate about overall art but especially music and photography, foreign languages, and extreme sport (snowboarding freeride and motorcycle racing).
His grandmother Ludmila was a teacher of English and German languages at the Orenburg State University. Already in Lev's kindergarten, she came twice a week and taught the entire children group the English language which is the reason Lev might say he is bilingual. At 9, he suddenly asked her to teach him German. Over the next years, he stopped and started learning again and again, which he decided to complete and finally passed the «Deutsch als Fremdsprache» exam. When he was 12, his parents decided to relocate to Moscow where he primarily resides since then.
Since 15, photography has also been one of the primary manners in which Lev expresses himself as an artist; he mainly shoots portraits, landscapes, and automotive under his «Weisswald» alias.
During his path, he has been involved in various production teams as a music producer, sound designer, audio engineer, and supervisor, jointly working on movies, music videos, and game development.[11]
