This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by CNMall41 18 months ago. |
- Comment: Sources are just about the $5.3 million deal, not in-depth coverage of the subject. GrabUp - Talk 17:16, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This could/should be a notable business, but the sources do not establish that, as none of them contributes towards WP:NCORP notability. I should probably be rejecting this outright, given the number of earlier declines and the fact that it has been resubmitted without any improvement, but let's give it one more chance. DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:26, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Can you find sources that aren't 75%+ quotes of the company executives and about the Liberty Latin America(not its child companies or its founders)? Ca talk to me! 23:56, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Most of these sources are press releases or recycled press releases and not independent. Stuartyeates (talk) 01:31, 5 December 2023 (UTC)

History
[edit]Liberty Latin America was founded in 2018 following the split-off from Liberty Global’s Latin America and Caribbean operations.[1] Before the split-off, Liberty Global made significant investments in operations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, including the acquisition of Cable and Wireless’ operations in 2015, valued at US$8 billion.[2][3]
In 2018, right after the split-off, Balan Nair was appointed CEO.[4]
In 2022, Liberty Latin America completed the acquisition of America’s Movil operations in Panama for $200 million.[5]
