Lorax rock paper scissors or Lorax RPS
[edit]What is Lorax Rock Paper Scissors and why the Lorax?
Lorax rock paper scissors (Going forward referred to as Lorax RPS) is a game where you must challenge the Lorax himself to a game of Rock Paper Scissors over a tree you destroyed in your own home to save your knees. It was originally started back in 2022 as a 3-button interface test made by a bored high school student who wanted to create a game that would run entirely in a web browser. While the test was being made, he needed an image to use as a character to play Rock Paper Scissors with, and with the Lorax’s 2012 movie being a large trend at that time, he used a realistic picture of the Lorax’s face for the laugh. Upon the game’s upload for testing on mobile and other devices, plenty of local elementary and middle school students found the test and enjoyed it, and convinced the developer to turn the crude testing software into a full game.

OST (Original Sound Track)
[edit]The Shop Music, along with fanmade songs were made in an online music creation software known as Beepbox. Most fanmade songs are made in the same C major Pentatonic scale as the shop song. Lorax RPS also uses several Kevin MacLeod songs such as March of The Spoons, Fluffing A Duck, and Thatched Villagers. Additionally, the game uses several joke tracks and loops from other brands, such as Spongebob's Krusty Krab, Radio Chatter, and Worst Beat Ever Created No. 28.
Shop (Demo 2 Exclusive)
[edit]Lorax Bucks
[edit]Lorax Bucks are the currency used in Lorax RPS shop. They are earned via random chance, clicking 100 times in the hall, achievements, or by entering gift cards into the shop.
Ads
[edit]This section will give an overview of all 5 advertisements in the shop, also telling which cosmetics were used in the ad. The 'Ads' found in the bottom of the shop are primarily there for humorous reasons, but they still do encourage the player to buy upgrades and items.
The lorax bought cool stuff. BE LIKE THE LORAX! This ad infers that the player will look as muscular as the lorax in this photo after buying an item.
(There are no cosmetics used in this ad)
Get dressed, or go west!
This is a threat telling the player that they will go 'west' if they don't buy something. (Get dressed)
(Cowman hat)
Don't want to look cool? WELL TOO BAD! Buy cool now!
This ad directly tells the player to buy something cool.
(Cool cap)
Buy something great, OR ELSE!
This is a threat.
(Serious threat)
Get free stuff, FOR FREE!
A purely comedic ad based on wordplay and blatant humour.
(Helicopter hat, Smart glasses, Ham)
Save System
[edit]The save system in Lorax RPS is composed of a 5x6 grid which uses letters that store 16 bits of data at a time. The save system uses lettered codes to save the high score, total lorax bucks, items, and bonus unlocks for the player.
Demo 3
[edit]The third Lorax RPS demo is currently not yet released. Until then, this section will remain blank.
Note
[edit]Any support for the game would be cool.
I do apologise for minimal sources, as the game is quite small at the moment, and no trusted news sources or outlets have covered the game.
