Luca Pizzoleo is a American-Italian photographer and independent filmmaker who is 25 years old[1]. He is well-known for his critically acclaimed short films Seeking Rebirth, In the Valley of the Moon, and The Tragic Death of a Frenchman, which is set to premiere soon. His photography work has appeared in a number of magazines[2], like BASIC Magazine[3] and The New York Times[4], and he has received multiple awards.[5] Recently, Pizzoleo has begun shooting his latest short film[6], O.C.D. (Obsessor Coercio Deus), which stars Grand Theft Auto V star Steven Ogg.

Childhood[edit]

Though not much is known about the filmmaker's childhood, he once said in an interview[7] that he feels childhood nostalgia for the 1952 film Singin' in the Rain aside from it being one of his favorite films of all time. In another interview[8] that he's had a love for film since he was kid. When his mother would take out her camcorder, he would try to take it and shoot some of his own footage with it. In this same interview, he also claims that his earliest memory of watching a film was watching Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (film) when he was four years old. He also recalls how his father would watch TCM Movies and wouldn't mind if Pizzoleo was watching with him.

Photography[edit]

Throughout his career, Pizzoleo has explored the field of photography thanks to his natural ability as a visual artist. Because of his experience in filmmaking and his unwavering desire to produce moving works of art through visual narrative, he has amassed a number of distinctive and creative collections. Numerous publications, including The New York Times[9], BASIC Magazine[10], Photographers Forum Magazine, and many more, have published his photographic works.

He has also garnered a collection of portraits[11], which he titled Portraiture. He also has three other collections[12]: The 26, Faces, and Louistown.

Music Videos[edit]

Luca Pizzoleo at first helped in the production of music videos[13]. He has collaborated twice with the band WhoHurtYou in their music videos for their songs Wish We Never Met[14] and Nobody Wins[15][16]. He also collaborated with Sweet Talker in his music video for his song I Don't Wanna go home Alone. He has also collaborated twice with independent artist Will Jordan (BILLY) in his music video for Just to Be Safe, as well as a short film/music video titled to Me.
