Màiri NicGumaraid is a Gaelic poet.[1] She was born in Airidh a'Bruaich in the Lake District on the island of Lewis in 1955. She is the youngest of three children.

Early Life[edit]

Màiri started her Primary School in village of Balallan, before her secondary school in Stornoway. However, Màiri began writing when she was a student in university Scottish Gaelic Studies,
