  • Comment: A company doesn't "supply software solutions". The word "solutions" in this context is way too vague and not encyclopedic. Chaotıċ Enby (talk · contribs) 22:04, 17 April 2024 (UTC)

MTech Systems is a global technology company that supplies software solutions for poultry, swine, and animal feed industries[1] headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia [2][3]. MTech Systems offers animal-protein farms cloud-based management platforms and farming IoT hubs that handle every stage of the supply chain.[4]

History:[edit]

MTech Systems was established in 1994 by Marcel Cohen and Mike Walker. In the 1990s, MTech Systems launched live Animal Protein Production Performance & Management Tools that connected operations and farms.[5]

In the early 2000s, MTech Systems introduced mobility solutions that allowed for on-farm input and reporting that could connect via cellular network or WIFI.[6] In 2006, the company expanded its software’s functionalities to allow swine production management.[7]

In 2011, the company expanded its operations to Europe as the company reached an agreement with Food Chain Partners Worldwide Ltd. to form a UK-based company MTech Systems Europe Ltd.[8] aimed at developing sales through Europe and other markets outside of North and South America.[9]

In 2015, MTech Systems released Amino, a cloud-based, end-to-end supply chain management software specifically made for the live-protein production industry.[10] Three years later, in 2018, the company began working with Artificial Intelligence and Data Science tools to build predictive models to improve production planning and forecasting.[11][12]

In 2017, the company launched Sonar Echo, its first IoT solution to automate data collection and threshold alerts by streamlining all farm gauges, scales, and sensors.[13] [14]Later that year, Swedish corporation Munters acquires MTech Systems.[15]

In 2020, MTech Systems developed Axis, a BI-powered software that made it simple for farms to crunch large data sets and present them on visual dashboards.[16]

MTech Systems continues developing Machine Learning and Data Science modules to automate processes and improve optimization and planning, as well as, integrating with visual and sound-based technologies.[17]
