Magdalena Valdevenito

Education:

Magdalena studied architecture in her home country of Chile at the Universidad Católica de Chile receiving her Master's of Architecture specializing in sustainability and energy efficiency by 2018. After moving to the United States, Magdalena attended Columbia University. Here she worked towards a Master's of Science in Advanced Architectural Design, finishing in 2021.

Career:

Magdalena started her practice at a firm in Chile called Philippe Boisier Arquitectura+Gestión. After stepping away from practicing to continue her education at Columbia University. Upon her arrival to practice, Magdalena took a position at Fogarty Finger as a junior architect.

In January of 2023, Magdalena started her career as a educator. She started as an adjunct instructor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. As of August of 2023, Magdalena has taken up a teaching post at Syracuse University teaching first year architecture students. Recently she has begun her own practice in Chile and has worked at a few firms in New York.
