Ing. Mark Amo-Boateng, PhD (born on 24 May) is a Ghanaian Innovator, Engineer, lecturer and the founder of Enyinam Tech, a Ghanaian startup that uses cutting edge technologies to solve energy problems.[1] He is known for his development of a low cost modular AUV/ROV system which qualified as a semi-finalist for the $7 million Shell Ocean Discovery X-Prize[2] challenge.[3]

Career[edit]

Dr. Mark is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Missouri, department of Civil Engineering. He is a lecturer at the University of Energy and Natural Resources,(UENR) in Sunyani.[4]

In July 2015, he founded Enyinam Tech (Enyinam, a Twi term for "Electricity"), a company that uses clean technology that uses the digital world to create a virtual rotating turbine (hence, the term digital turbine). He is known for Ocean Discovery - Africa (OD-Africa) which is the brainchild of Enyinam Technologies Limited - a technology research centric private organization in Africa. This project was the only African innovation that qualified to the semi-finals of the $7 million Shell Ocean Discovery X-Prize challenge.[3][5]

He is also the founder of Xtellix (2022), a company that produces quantum-neuromorphic inspired algorithms that provide the best alternative to quantum computing.</ref>[6][7]
