Me'aisem (Arabic:معيصم) is a community of the Emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Sector 6 in the central area of Dubai.
Territory[edit]
The territory of the community occupies an area of 26.8 km2[1] in central Dubai.
Me'aisem is divided into two communities:
- Me'aisem First (community code 685) to the north;
- Me'aisem Second (community code 686) to the south.
The area is bounded by the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E 311) to the north, the communities of Al Hebiah 4 and Al Hebiah 5 to the east, the Emirates Road (E 611) to the southeast and from Al Yalayis Street (D 57) to the south and southwest.[2]
From a settlement point of view, the community can be divided into two zones:
- a mixed northwest area, forming part of Me'aisem First, which includes the business park of Dubai Production City and the residential area of Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE):
- an area south (Me'aisem Second) and west (west area of Me'aisem First), essentially semi-desert and almost uninhabited.
Among the main reference points of the community are:
- In Dubai Production City[3]
- the Lakeside Towers residential complex, consisting of four towers of 22 floors each;
- the multi-building complex Midtown, made up of around ten residential buildings ranging from 6 to 16 floors, overlooking the golf courses of the Jumeirah Golf Estates;
- the residential towers of the Lago Vista complex, made up of three towers connected by a crescent-shaped portico. Completed in 2009, they feature 300 apartments each ranging from studios to 1 and 2 bedroom apartments;
- the shopping center Me'aisem City Centre which houses numerous shops for shopping in fashion, electronics, tools, pharmacies, restaurants, bakeries, children's recreation points as well as a hypermarket Carrefour.[4]
- In Jumeirah Golf Estates[5]
- the Jumeirah Golf Estates Golf Club, with its two golf courses, the Earth Course and the Fire Course, designed by Greg Norman, which annually host the DP World Tour Championship;[6]
- the 16 luxury villa residential complexes surrounding the JGE Country Club:[7]
- Andalusian Townhouses
- Flame Tree Ridge
- Hillside
- Jumeirah Luxury
- Lime Tree Valley
- Olive Point
- Orange Lake
- Redwood Ave
- Redwood Park
- Sanctuary Falls
- Sienna Lakes
- Sienna Views
- The Sundials
- Valencia Grove
- Whispering Pines
- Wild Flower
The area is served by the subway with the Red Line stop at Jumeirah Golf Estates which is located in the northwest corner of Me'aisem First, away from major settlements. However, from there it is possible to take a surface line (F38) which allows you to reach the housing complexes of Production City and other surface lines to connect to neighboring communities.
