Draft:MiRacle Pool

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MiRacle Pool is a mixed reality (MR) billiards game developed by Pixel Works Studios and published by 2080 Games.[1] The game will be released for Meta Quest headsets on June 20th, 2024.[2]

Gameplay[edit]

MiRacle Pool is played using Quest VR controllers in each hand. The game was built on the foundation of realistic ball physics that were refined over multiple years, starting with the developer's past game Black Hole Pool. MiRacle Pool uniquely features a bottom-up mixed reality design and "lock and shoot" mechanism for more controlled cue stick handling.

Game Modes[edit]

Players can select from multiple modes.

Ranked Online Multiplayer[edit]

Players are match-made in either 8-ball or 9-ball pool with tracked leaderboard rankings.

Single Player Matches[edit]

This mode is AI-based, competing against a series of computer opponents.

Private Matches with Friends[edit]

Players can invite others from their friends list for games including up to four players.

Mini Games with Leaderboards[edit]

This mode features two minigames as of June 2024. These include the Countdown Challenge and Moneyball Challenge.

Daily Challenges[edit]

Daily challenges are tests of specific aiming and shooting skills. Performance in this mode can earn players bonus XP in MiRacle Pool's progression system.

Practice Mode[edit]

The practice mode is a sandbox setting supporting 10-ball, Snooker, and Drills options. These options are in addition to the 8-ball and 9-ball setups available in multiplayer.
