Michael Hofmann De Boer (born October 30, 1950) is a German musician and film composer from Munich.

A multi-instrumentalist and singer, he has been part of the band Sahara since 1966[1] and has written music for German television productions since 1990. In 2001, he composed the title song Forever and Ever for the series Samt und Seide.[2] [3]

He worked on the soundtrack for the German movie, Ausgetrickst, this included the song, Into Paradise, a short snippet of the song was uploaded on to watzatsong in 2006 by user LORRAIN and was the oldest unidentified song in the website. It became a lostwave and was dubbed ' Tension rising in the air '. On July 22nd, 2024, a longer snippet was found in a German 1986 BMW commercial.
