Michele Valerie Ronnick is a Professor who teaches at the Wayne State University in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures. She was born 3rd June 1955 in Rhode Island.[1]

Career[edit]

She got her M.S.L.S. from Florida State University, Tallahassee in1977, her M.A. from University of Florida, Gainesville in 1986 and received her Ph.D. from Boston University in 1990.[2]

She was given the Outreach Award in 2007 by the American Philological association.[3]

Her research interests include: Latin literature, Cicero, Juvenal, Horace, Classical tradition and Classica Africana.[4]

Her photo installation on Black classicists whose creation was funded by the James Loeb Classical Library Foundation at Harvard University has (since its debut at the Detroit Public Library in September 2003) been exhibited at 62 venues. It is currently on tour in the United Kingdom and coming to the University of Warwick Faculty of Arts building in spring. [3]
