Ayomide "A-yo" Olumuyiwa (born September 10, 1996), known professionally as MinD OvR MatR (stylized as MinD OvR MatR and pronounced "Mind Over Matter") is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Ayo has been an active member of the Boston music scene since 2016 producing back to back mixtapes in his freshman year at Northeastern before transferring to UMASS Lowell and taking a 3 yea to finish his undergraduate degree. His next project would be an extended play of all the songs he had been writing and working on since his hiatus: S O C I A L D I S T A N C I N G (2020) which would see relative success through the stand-out track CIVIC had decent engagement on TikTok and even more so on Instagram Reels giving him his first 4 Spotify playlist placements. His next big break would emerge from the boom-bap inspired track, Wrong Turn which multiplied his audience from 40 to 400 monthly listeners; the song preceded and served as the lead single for his debut LP, JOYBOY (2023). Most recently MinD has collaborated with NPR Music: Tiny Desk Concerts, record holder Justus West on a Christmas themed alt. rock rap single NOEL. His next effort is to produce a mixtape trilogy, the first installment being ALL ARTISTS ISOLATE.

[edit]2020–present: Early success and debut limited play
[edit]Despite started his music career in 2016, by releasing his debut mixtape The Summer Tape[1] and having a follow up in 2019 with CHANNELS[2]He would take a break from recording to focus on his academics while also diving into writing, film, and photography[3] all of which would he would put back into his first love further bolstering his craft and independent nature of his he founded MOMMEDIAGROUP.
His first EP S O C I A L D I S T A N C I N G[4] released in December of 2020 and mixed and mastered by GWeekes would be widely praised for it's musical quality and diversity earnign him his first few Spotify playlist placements. Track 10 CIVIC would even have it's lyric video peak at #2 on YouTube trending in the UK.
On October 5th 2024, Ayo released his first LP JOYBOY.[5] one of the 3 singles that proceeded the project, Hopeless Romantic would garner him enough attention to land his first publication.[6] In that same year Ayo would also received support in the form of a feature from American guitarist Justus West.[7] On May 10, 2024, Bennett released his first single of the year Lemon Head along with an accompanying visual.[8]
