Mingi (rapper)
[edit]Song Min Gi (Korean: 송민기, born August 9th, 1999, in Bucheon), known mononymously as Mingi, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, singer and producer. He is a member of the South Korean boy band ATEEZ, which is under KQ Entertainment. Before he joined ATEEZ, he competed on the survival reality show MIXNINE.
Pre-debut
[edit]Mix Nine (2017)
[edit]In 2017, at the age of 18 Mingi participated in the survival program Mix Nine which was produced by YG Entertainment[1]and broadcasted on JTBC. He was eliminated in the seventh episode, ranking 113th place.[2]
KQ Fellaz (2018)
[edit]Before debuting Mingi was introduced as part of an 8 member pre-debut team called KQ Fellaz . Their first video on the official KQ YouTube channel was a dance cover of the song Pick It Up (Feat. A$AP Rocky) by Famous Dex.[3]
In 2018, Mingi traveled to the USA with KQ Fellaz trough KQ Entertainment.[4] They spent a month in Los Angeles training in dancing at The Millennium Dance Complex.[5] During their time in America, their pre-debut single "From"[6] was produced and shot along with their mini vlog series published on YouTube.[7]
Debut

[edit]On October 24, 2018, Mingi debuted as the main rapper and the main dancer of ATEEZ with their first EP "TREASURE EP.1: All To Zero" and title tracks "Treasure" and "Pirate King".[8]
