Mohamed-Karim Eddine Harkati, arabic: محمد كريم الدين حركاتي (born 1967 in Annaba) He is the CEO of Groupe SERPORT (Groupe Services Portuaires; Port Services Group in English).[1] For his professional debut Harkati he dates back to October 1993 when he was then responsible for Level II works for renovation and assembly operations of various industrial equipment within the Complexe sidérurgique d'El Hadjar, the experience lasted two years. In November 1995, Harkati joined EP Annaba as an engineer then in charge of main technical studies from May 1996 to April 1999, the year during which he was appointed to the position of head of department responsible for project monitoring until January 2012.[2]

After a state engineering degree in mechanics obtained in 1992 from the University of Annaba, an engineering degree in commercial sciences with a Marketing option in 2004 from the Higher Institute of Management and Computer Science still within the University of Annaba, Harkati also graduated from Specialized Higher Education (DESS) in quality management from the Higher Institute of Management and Planning (ISGP Algiers) in 2016. Harkati benefited from an advanced training course on port management at the Korea Maritime and Ocean University in 2014. The same year he followed another internship in port management and operations under the aegis of the International Maritime Organization in Le Havre.[2]

Groupe SERPORT[edit]

On May 13, 2022, after the imprisonment of the CEO of SERPORT Achour Djelloul, was replaced by the former CEO of the port company of annaba (EPAN) Abdelkarim Harkati who would have been appointed interim director.[3] On June 19, 2022 The Minister of Transport, Abdellah Moundji, installed the new general director of the port services Groupe SERPORT, Mohamed Karim Eddine Harkati. In a statement to the press, following the installation ceremony, which took place during the extraordinary session of the group's General Assembly, the minister specified that "the mission of the new general director, installed after agreement of the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is clearly defined in a three-year performance contract.[1]
