Draft:Monday Service Band

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Monday Service is a band known for it's indy-rock/shoegaze music. The exact date of when the band was created is said to have been during August 2023. It's members, that being Patrick "Paddy" McKeown (vocalist/guitarist), Jax Tennyson (electric guitar), Cormac Flynn (bass), Mitchell Maloney (keyboard/vocals) and Olivia Keddie (drums), are a group of friends who all shared an interest in music and wanted a way to express their love for it.

Songs[edit]

As of writing (16th June 2024) the band have only one released and published one song, Prettiest Eyes. Released by the band on the 7th June 2024 it has gone on to be reasonably successful amongst it's fan base with their social media having to do with a great deal of the songs success. However the band has multiple other songs that they have performed live but yet still remain unnamed, a notable example being "Please Don't Leave Me Behind" which many within the band's fanbase consider to be the band's best song.

In an interview with a Daily Record reporter Paddy McKeown described the band's style of song writing as "kinda indie-pop with a psychedelic influence and a touch of heavy rock".[1]

Fanbase[edit]

The band has been able to garner a small, yet devoted fanbase of young people, this has been proven time and time again at their live performances with their three live performances going on to fully sell out or require additional tickets. The reason for this devoted fanbase is thanks to the connection the band's members have to two local schools with word-of-mouth having a great deal to play in their sudden rise to popularity.
