Monica Mohnot was born in Kolkata, India. She moved to the United States in 2001 following her marriage. Monica holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. In addition she has a Master of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), focusing on Studio, Fiber, and Material Studies. At SAIC, she has received several accolades, including the New Artist Society Merit Scholarship. [1]
