Mari Maurice is a musician and composer who performs and records under the name More Eaze.[1]

Early life and education

Maurice was raised in San Antonio. Her mother, a professional pianist, began teaching her music at age three, and she began performing in local bands as a teenager.[2]

Maurice first became interested in electronic music production as a student at Trinity University She attended graduate school at the California Institute of the Arts, where she studied music theory and composition.[2]

Career

Throughout college and graduate school, Maurice composed musique concrète works.[3] She moved to Austin in 2014, and released her first work as more eaze through Already Dead Tapes in 2015. In 2013, Maurice began writing for Tiny Mix Tapes

Personal life

Maurice is transgender.[2]
