Musicbed is a music licensing platform that offers a large library of music for creators and filmmakers to use in their projects. The company was founded in 2011 by Daniel McCarthy and is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.[1]

History

On September 1, 2015, Musicbed announced the launch of Filmsupply – a film footage licensing offering to complement Musicbed's highly curated music library. Musicbed and Filmsupply exist to deliver licensed music and film content to filmmakers, brands and agencies around the world. The sites have served entertainment powerhouses like Sony Pictures, 20th Century Studios, Lionsgate, Netflix, MTV, CBS, FOX, and ESPN, as well as global brands like Nike, Samsung, Google, Nikon, Xbox, Lexus, Lamborghini, Verizon, and Home Depot.[2]

On January 25, 2016, Musicbed announced a partnership with Nashville's Sun Record Company, home to legendary artists Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison, to make 1,100 tracks from the esteemed record company's catalog available for licensing.[3]
