NHV Group[edit]
NHV Group NV is a Belgian civil helicopter operator based in Ostend, Belgium. It operates primarily in the energy producing industry including maritime services in the offshore drilling and offshore wind power markets, search and rescue (SAR), and shipping pilot services. It is also an approved training organization and service center for Airbus Helicopters.[1]
NHV was founded as Noordzee Helicopters Vlaanderen in 1997 by Eric Van Hal, Jef De Kinder, and William Wilford to provide helicopter support services for the Flemish piloting service, delivering shipping pilots to sea vessels in inclement weather.[2]
In 2013, private equity investment company Ardian aquired a majority stake in the NHV Group.[3]
