The National Distributist Party is a socially Conservative and economically distributist political party in the United Kingdom. On the 24th of December 2021, the NDP became an official minor political party.[2]
The party is syncretic, and encompasses a variety of political thoughts from across the political spectrum, including Distributism, Agrarianism and Social conservatism; Their manifesto claims to stand for local families, local business, local communities, and the environment, all these are attributes for the economic principle of Distributism.[3]
History[edit]
In April 2020 the National Distributist Party was founded. In December 2021 the party officially became registered with the Electoral Commission.[2]
Tyler White stood as NDP candidate in the Stonehouse Town Council by-election.[4] Tyler White lost the election to Wendy Thomson (independent) who won 652 (91.8%) votes.[5][6] Tyler White won 58 (8.17%) of the votes in the election.[7]
The party gained their first seat in local government in the 2024 local elections[8], on Nailsworth Town Council with Tyler White on the basis of an uncontested election.[9]
