Nazareath Area Middile School (NAMS) is a public middile school located in Nazareath, Pennslyvania. The school is part of the Nazareth School District. Nazareth is located in Northampton County, which is in eastern Pennslyvania. The school was constructed in 2008 and has been in operation regularly since. The school hosts grades 7 and 8, which compile 798 students as of 2024. [1] The school offeres a variety of programs including a performing arts program which includes a choir and a theatre program.[2] The school also offers a marching band and a Greenpower Racing Team.
Academics[edit]
The school boasts classes varying from standard Algebra 1 classes, to Family Consumer Science classes, and coding classes using the Scratch engine. Other clases include English classes, Science classes, and Social Studies classes. The school also has a foreign language program that 8th graders are enrolled in. The languages students learn are Spanish, German, and French. Students in these classes are able to be exposed to these foreign languages and then have the option to take more advanced classes at the high school. The school has above average academic scores in almost all subjects.[3]

The school also hosts many experienced teachers with 92% of the teachers having more than 3 years of experience teaching. The teacher to student racio is 15:1 which is slightly higher than the Pennslyvania state average of 14:1. [3]
Administration[edit]
The current administrative department of the school includes the principal, vice principal, and the guidence counselor. The principal is Dr. Robert Bauder, the vice principal is John A. Fidelibus, and the guidence councelor is Dr. Lee Bauder. The superintendent of the Nazareth Area School District is Dr. Richard R. Kaskey.[5]
