Nenjathai Killadhe (transl. Don't Pinch the Heart) is an upcoming Indian-Tamil language television series starring Jai Akash and Reshma Muralidharan in lead role. The show is an official remake of SET's Hindi series Bade Achhe Lagte Hain[1] and an essence remake of Zee Kannada's Amruthadhare. It is scheduled to premiere on Zee Tamil in 2024.

Synopsis[edit]

The story revolves around a two different family background people Goutham (Jai Akash) and Mathumitha (Reshma Muralidharan). Goutham, a business tycoon, gets into a marriage of convenience with Mathumitha, an educated middle-class woman almost a decade younger than him.[2] They are accidentally discover love after getting married.

Casting[edit]

In begin May 2024, Jai Akash and Reshma Muralidharan was reportedly cast for the lead roles of new Zee Tamil series and was officially confirmed on 21 May.[1][3]

Actor Jai Akash was selected to portray the lead role of Goutham, who is an unmarried, wealthy, established businessman. Made his comeback after Neethane Enthan Ponvasantham.[4] Actress Reshma Muralidharan was selected for the female lead role Mathumitha,[5] who is an unmarried girl from middle-class family. Marking her return after three years in Zee Tamil. Shyam Viswanathan was cast as Goutham's first friend while, Krithikaa Laddu cast to play his wife.

The series also reunited Reshma Muralidharan and Krithikaa Laddu, who previously starred together three years before on Poove Poochudava (2017–2021).

Release[edit]

The first Teaser was released on 26 May 2024 featuring Jai Akash and Reshma Muralidharan.[6][7] The second and third Teasers was unveiled 2 June and 9 June, which gave a brief insight in Hero Heroine Another unexpected meeting in coffee shop and lift.[8][9]
