Nicholas George Miranda is an American lawyer who is a nominee to serve as an associate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Education

Miranda received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Yale University in 2005 and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 2008.[1]

Career

From 2008 to 2009, Miranda served as a law clerk for Judge Stanley Marcus of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as an associate at Morrison & Foerster. In 2012, he joined the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia and previously worked in its Cyber Crimes, Federal Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Unit. From 2016 to 2017, he served on detail as an associate counsel at the Office of the White House Counsel. Since 2021, he has served as Chief of the Victim Witness Assistance Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.[1]

Nomination to D.C. superior court

On July 31, 2024, President Joe Biden nominated Miranda to serve as an associate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[1] President Biden nominated Miranda to the seat vacated by Judge Rupa Ranga Puttagunta, who resigned on April 12, 2024[2] His nomination is pending before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.-->
