Draft:Nick DeRiso
Submission declined on 12 December 2023 by NoobThreePointOh (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Nick DeRiso is assistant managing editor at Townsquare Media[1][2][3] and author of the 2023 Journey biography, 'Journey: Worlds Apart.' [4][5]
He was a longtime columnist and editor in the USA Today Network [6], and has also written for American Songwriter[7], No Depression[8], Blues Revue Magazine[9], Louisiana Voices magazine[10], Popdose[11], Blues Music Magazine [12] and Louisiana Tech Magazine[13], among others.
DeRiso has earned multiple columnist of the year awards from the Associated Press, Louisiana Press Association and Louisiana Sports Writers Association[14][15][16]. He also oversaw a Sunday section that earned Top 10 national honors from the Associated Press Sports Editors[17]. He later co-founded the music site Something Else[18], which has been sourced or mentioned by The New York Times[19], All About Jazz[20] and NPR[21], among others.
Former Rolling Stone magazine editor and writer David Wild described 'Journey: Worlds Apart' as a "compelling deep dive into the rather complicated history of one of the most enduringly beloved bands in rock history," while long-time San Francisco Chronicle music writer Joel Selvin praised its "almost granular detail."[22] Critic Allison Rapp named 'Journey: Worlds Apart' as one of the 30 "best rock books of 2023."[23] Gary Graff, a long-time Detroit Free Press writer and frequent contributor[24] to Billboard magazine, said DeRiso's book was "packed with up-to-date facts and, most importantly, context."[25]
