Nigma flavescens is a species of spider belonging to the family Dictynidae. The species is found primarily in Europe, exempting Scandinavia, with documented appearances throughout England.^[1]

Description[edit]

N. flavescens is characterized by a rounded abdomen, traditionally veined with white or white-grey. The cephalothorax of both males & females is a red-brown, and the legs a pale yellow. The chelicerae of males are a red-brown, whereas those belonging to females of the species are a yellow-brown. Females spiders typically occupy the 3.3-4 mm range in length, while males measure most frequently at about 2.5 mm.
