An obround is a shape that consists of two semicircles connected by parallel lines tangent to their endpoints.^[1] It is not similar to an oval, which horizontally stretches a circle with no modifications.

Usage[edit]

Obrounds are the shape of some pills. It is also used in Google's Material Design 3, also known as Material You, design framework as the container for buttons.^{[citation needed]}
