The bank moved in 1915 from 1 East Main St on "Bank Corners" to 29-31 West Main St. Another bank called Merchants Savings Bank at 23 West Main St. In 1929, the two banks merged creating the Old-Merchants National Bank and Trust Company, and constructing a new building in 1931.
