Pahoa Mahagafanau is a French Polynesian[1] film actress, known for her role in the movie Pacifiction (2022). She received a nomination in the 20th edition of the International Cinephile Society for best supporting actress.[2]

Biography[edit]

Mahagafanau was born in France. She featured in the film Pacifiction by Albert Serra, where she portrayed Shannah, a transgender hospitality worker.[3][4] At first, when she was given a part in the film, she was to be an extra. She was very close to the character played by Benoît Magimel (the protagonist of the film).[5]
