Plot
[edit]While investigating Ahsoka Tano's disappearance along with his mother, General Hera Syndulla, Jacen Syndulla senses that Ahsoka is in the World Between Worlds, revealing his own connection with the Force. Anakin Skywalker explains to Ahsoka that he had been watching her through the Force and deduces that her loss with Baylan Skoll is partially due to her unresolved guilt over the events that drove them apart. Ahsoka loses a duel with Anakin and relives fragments of her past during the Clone Wars. Ahsoka refuses Anakin's teachings, determined to not be held back by the past, leading to another duel between them. Ahsoka wins, accepting that she wasn't part of the reason for Anakin's downfall, and chooses to live. Ahsoka is recovered by Syndulla's crew, but Syndulla is contacted by Mon Mothma, who informs her that New Republic forces are enroute to take her and Ahsoka into custody. Just before they do, Ahsoka recruits a pod of purrgil to take her to Ezra Bridger, while Syndulla stays behind.
