Parul Gupta is an Indian chef and YouTube personality, known for her channel, Cook With Parul.[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Parul Gupta was born in Aligarh, India to a family involved in the jewelry business. She earned an MBA from Aligarh Muslim University.[citation needed]
Career[edit]
Parul Gupta was involved in the culinary world prior to launching her YouTube channel.[citation needed] However, she found that working outside her home meant she was unable to support her son, who was undergoing therapy due to a speech impediment.[2] As a compromise, she and her husband came up with the idea to post cooking videos on YouTube.[3]
Parul Gupta launched her YouTube channel, Cook With Parul, in 2017. As of January 2024, Gupta's channel has 8.91 million subscribers.[4]
Parul Gupta's YouTube content focuses on recipes and cooking tips, alongside personal stories.[5]
Awards and recognition[edit]
Parul Gupta won the ETInfluencerAwards and the Pinkvilla Creator Awards for Drool-worthy Food Creator of the Year.[6]
Parul Gupta was featured in Forbes' India's Top 100 Digital Stars list for 2022 and receiving the Creators United Global 2023 Food Creator of the Year Award.[citation needed]
