Pisanu Suvanajata (Thai: พิษณุ สุวรรณะชฎ) is a Thai diplomat and businessman, currently the vice chairman of ThaiBev.[1][2] Suvanajata was Thai Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland from 2017 to 2022, and Thai Ambassador to Myanmar from 2012 to 2016.[3][4][5][6]

Thai Ambassador to Myanmar (2012–2016)[edit]

Following Myanmar's move toward democratization in 2012, Suvanajata encouraged Thai investment in Myanmar, along with encouraging participation in international sporting events like the SEA Games.[7][8][9] Suvanajata likewise supported the continued political and economic form under Burmese President Thein Sein.[10][11]

Thai Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland (2017–2022)[edit]

Suvanajata hosted a reception for the British Cave Rescue Council divers who partook in the Tham Luang cave rescue in 2018.[12][13] He attended the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on 19 September 2022.[14][15]
