Plaisance Secondary School (French pronunciation: [plɛ.zɑ̃s sə.kɔ̃.dɛʁ sɔl]), often simply called Plaisance Secondary, is a public educational institution in Roche Caiman, Seychelles. Established in 1992 under the leadership of France-Albert René, the second President of the Republic of Seychelles, it holds the distinction of being the first regional school in the area.[1]. The school was officially inaugurated on June 1, 1992, with President René presiding over the ceremony[2]. The motto selected for Plaisance Secondary School, "Striving for Execellence," embodies its commitment to academic, personal, and societal advancement[3]. In his address, President René emphasized the significance of this motto, highlighting its resonance with the school's goals and aspirations[4]
