Plazma Burst 2 (Commonly abbreviated as PB2) is a sidescroller shooter flash game developed by Eric Gurt. Released on March 10, 2011, it is the sequel to Plazma Burst: Forward to the past. The player starts as a marine, who lands on Earth in a Life Capsule, with a goal to find the time machine to prevent an alien invasion; completing his mission. He fights with other factions like Civil Security, Usurpations and Falkoks..[1]
Plazma Burst 2 is known for having its own Level Editor, Leaderboards, Community, and Multiplayer (at its peak reaching up to thousands of concurrent players) all within Flash. It is developed using Adobe Flash, which is now discontinued since 31 December, 2020[2]. It is coded using Actionscript 3.
Plazma Burst 2 has been updated over the course of 12 years, currently being in version v1.47[3]. Lin currently maintains Plazma Burst 2 Development since February 20, 2023[4]
Gameplay[edit]
Plazma Burst 2 is a 2D shooter, while also including components of parkour with ledge climbing and ragdolling (The fall key).The game contains some Sci-Fi elements like telekinesis (referred in-game as Kinetic Module), slow-motion (referred in-game as Time Warping). Multiplayer including more Sci-Fi features like Throwable shield grenades, or teleport grenades which teleport at the place they get triggered at.[5] Also containing a singleplayer, where you fight as a marine, whose main task is to save the Earth from an Alien Invasion.[6]
