- Comment: Only one of the four sources cited actually works, and that is nowhere near enough to establish notability per WP:GNG.Also, in articles on living people (WP:BLP), every material statement, anything potentially contentious, and all private personal and family details must be clearly supported by inline citations to reliable published sources, or else removed. Premalatha Vijayakant (born 18 March 1969) is an Indian politician. She is the general secretary and treasurer of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam. Premalatha is the wife of the late former leader of the opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Vijayakant.
Personal life[edit]
She was born in Vellore on 18 March 1969. She is a B.A. English Literature graduate and a former national level athlete of shot put and discus throw. Her father was a Manager. Ibrahim Rawther found the alliance for Vijayakant. She married Vijayakant on 31 January 1990 headed by the then chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi, and the couple has two sons: Vijay Prabhakaran, a politician who is a member of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam, and Shanmuga Pandian, an actor who starred in Sagaptham (2015) and Madura Veeran (2018).[1][failed verification][2][failed verification]

On 19 October 2018, the former leader of the opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and the DMDK founder Vijayakanth, announced and appointed Premalatha as the treasurer of the DMDK party in the presence of the party's deputy secretaries at the General Council Meeting held in Chennai.[3][failed verification]

On 14 December 2023, the former leader of the opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and the DMDK founder Vijayakanth, announced and appointed Premalatha as the general secretary of the DMDK party in the presence of the party's deputy secretaries at the General Council Meeting held in Chennai.[4]
