Pujith Gayon (born in 1996), known by his pen name GAYON, is an Indian author, lawyer and a columnist from Guwahati, Assam. He is the author of Once Upon A Blink, his debut book.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Early life and background[edit]

Gayon was born in Guwahati, Assam. He has a B.A. LL.B from Symbiosis Law School and an LL.M (First Class) from Christ University, Bengaluru. He has worked with NGOs (like Childline India Foundation and Aaranyak) and with top-tier law firms (like Economic Laws Practice, Bharucha & Partners, Fox Mandal and Majmudar & Partners). He has been involved in various research projects concentrated in North-East India and has worked with the World Wildlife Fund on conservation efforts.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Literary career[edit]

Gayon regularly contributes to various publications and magazines and his columns have found their place in reputed national and regional dailies like The Assam Tribune, GPlus etc. He was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the Government of India for his contributions to the SNEHALAYA Foundation. Pujith also holds a degree in Classical Spanish Guitar from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

In Once Upon A Blink, Gayon's stories are characterised by their lyrical prose and evocative imagery. Rashmi Narzary commented 'He has a unique ability to elicit profound emotions, encouraging readers to embrace compassion, empathy, and understanding'. His stories often explore themes such as love, loss, fantasy, science, and the intricacies of the human condition. Kulpreet Yadav commented on his stories to be 'written with passion on subjects that many try to stay away from'.
