Puneet Gupta OBE (born 1974 in Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a Scottish-Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist. Gupta is married to Poonam Gupta, with whom he has two daughters.[1][2][3]

In 2023, Gupta was appointed an Office of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to business, charity, and the community.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Philanthropy

Gupta supports charitable initiatives focused on underprivileged children and animal conservation, including Action for Children, Elephant Family, and the British Asian Trust. He participated in rickshaw races in 2015 and 2017 to raise funds for Elephant Family and, in 2021, he and his wife led an initiative to provide and deliver 4,000 oxygen concentrators across India during the country's second COVID-19 wave. Additionally, Gupta is a benefactor of Combat Stress.[13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21]

Public Life

Puneet is a member of Scottish Chambers of Commerce's Scottish Business Advisory Group (SBAG), a member of Scottish Business UK's (SBUK) Advisory Council and a board member of The Asia Scotland Institute.[22][23][24]

In August 2020, Puneet Gupta stepped down from the Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce board, citing concerns about the board's integrity and decision-making transparency.[25]
