RIP is an upcoming American crime thriller film written and directed by Joe Carnahan. The film stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Nestor Carbonell, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Kyle Chandler.

Premise

A group of Miami cops discovers a stash of millions in cash, leading to distrust as outsiders learn about the huge seizure, making them question who to rely on.

It was first reported in June 2024 that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck would star in the film RIP, written and directed by Joe Carnahan. Damon and Affleck are also producing the film at Artists Equity.[1] After the project had been shopped around for a buyer, Netflix purchased the rights to distribute the film.[2] In October 2024, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Nestor Carbonell, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Kyle Chandler joined the cast.[3][4]

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in late 2024.[1]
