Raka Tešić (Valjevo, Ottoman Serbia, 1773- Mionica, Principality of Serbia, 26 December 1823) was a knyaz in Revolutionary Serbia during the time of Karađorđe and Obrenović, the First Serbian Uprising and Second Serbian Uprising respectively.

Prince Raka Tešić, co-minister (guardian) of education (since 1822), oborknez of the Valjevo Nahiye and the prince of the Kolubara principality of the Valjevo nahiye (since 1815), bolukbashi (until 1815), was born in Mionica in 1773. From the age of twelve, he lived for eight years in Sarajevo where he learned the craft of Sarace or leathersmith. Afterwards, he was a bolukbashi near Grbović. He took part in the first and the second uprising as well. After that as the Elder over 10 villages, after Grbović, in 1815 Tašić became the prince of the Kolubara principality of the Valjevo nahiya and the oborknez of the Valjevo nahiya.

After the formation of the Guardianship of Education and the decision to elect two ministers (guardians), one of whom would represent the clergy and the other the rest of the population, the Archimandrite of the Vraćevšnica Monastery and the future Serbian Metropolitan Melentije Pavlović and Valjevo Prince Raka Tešić were elected.

Prince Raka Tešić died in Mionica on 26 December 1823. After his death, Jovica Milutinovic was appointed prince of the Kolubara principality of Valjevo in 1824.

Raka Tešić had sons Nikola, Velimir and Jevrem Rakić and a daughter Ana.

He was buried near the Ribnica church in Paštrić, on the left side of the altar.[1]
