The Rascals incident was a police raid on the Rascals disco on Beach Road, Singapore on 30 May 1993 during its weekly gay night event.

Legacy[edit]

According to Professor of Law Lynette J. Chua, some "hail Rascals as Singapore's Stonewall, crediting the raid for galvanizing a fledgeling gay movement that was quietly taking shape in the early 1990s in Singapore."[6]
