Renata Liuzzi (born November 17, 1983) is an Italian-Venezuelan business transformation strategist, educator, and entrepreneur.
She is the founder and CEO of Axis Partners.[1], a consultancy firm that addresses challenges in the, strategy, customer experience, and innovation. She is also the Chief Strategy and Culture officer of Eltizam Asset Management and the MENA Managing Director for Querlo Artificial Intelligence.
Liuzzi has over 18 years of experience in business strategy, customer experience, design thinking, innovation, and digital transformation, working with numerous Fortune 500 companies [2]. She is also a visiting lecturer at IE Business School in Spain and a mentor for start-ups [3].
She is also a board member in several start-ups shaping the future of hospitality, food, art, and real estate.
Early life and education[edit]
Born in Venezuela to an Italian father and a Venezuelan mother, Liuzzi was exposed to diverse cultures from an early age. She pursued her passion for engineering at Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 2000-2005 and a Specialisation in Motorsports, which was done in conjunction with the United States SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers - USA) 2004-2005 [3]. During this time, she designed and built three formula race cars, showcasing her practical skills and innovative thinking. She was especially focused on vehicle dynamics, suspension and direction.
Driven by her desire to further her knowledge and skills, Liuzzi moved to Spain to pursue an International MBA at IE Business School in Madrid from 2008 to 2009 [3].
She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Design Thinking, Strategy, and Innovation from MIT Business Sloan and Columbia universities in 2009-2010. Further enhancing her professional credentials, she has certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Artificial Intelligence from MIT, and Operational Efficiency.
Career[edit]
Liuzzi's career trajectory is marked by a series of leadership roles in prominent global companies. She began her career as a consultant at Accenture Management Consulting in Venezuela from December 2005 to August 2008, focused on digital transformation and operations projects. After completing her MBA, she continued her career in Accenture Management Consulting in Spain, where she served as a Manager from July 2010 to September 2013, working mainly for the Aerospace & Defence industry, solving strategic and customer experience challenges. In October 2013, she was transferred to Accenture in the UK, where she focused on key projects that shaped the CX industry for the Automotive world.
She then joined EY Advisory in the UAE, first as a Senior Manager from November 2014 to January 2016 and then as the Regional Head of Ernst Young ‘Growth Solutions’ for Customers until 2017.
Liuzzi then moved to Emaar Group in the UAE, where she served as the Director of Customer Excellence & Digital Transformation from February 2017 to March 2018. She then held the same position at Meraas Holding & Dubai Properties / Dubai Holding in the UAE until 2019 [4]
In August 2019, Liuzzi founded Axis Partners, where she currently serves as the CEO [2]. The firm provides customer experience, strategy, innovation, digital transformation and business intelligence services for major real estate, retail, and investment groups in the UAE [5]. She is also a strategic advisor to major UAE organisations and sovereign wealth funds.
In addition to her role at Axis Partners, Liuzzi has been serving as the Chief Strategy & Culture Officer at Eltizam Asset Management in Dubai since February 2023.[6]. She is also bringing to the MWNA region AI solutions through her partnership with Querlo Artificial Intelligence. She serves as a visiting lecturer at IE Business School, where she teaches strategy, customer experience, and design thinking to international MBA students [3]
Liuzzi is a mentor to many, particularly women, as her story serves as an inspiration. She is an example of how one can grow in their career while also developing personally, adding value to the world, and supporting their family.
Personal life[edit]
Liuzzi is a Christian and is deeply committed to philanthropy. While she was in Venezuela, she dedicated her time to educating low-income children, working with them in their hometowns, and has even worked with indigenous tribes in the Amazon in Venezuela to improve their quality of life.
During the Syrian refugee crisis, Renata used her business skills to push forward key volunteering organisations to help refugees in an optimised manner.
She is married to a Northen-Irish businessman and they are based in Dubai. Together, they have a son and a pet dog, forming a beautiful family that she cherishes. Liuzzi is also a scuba-diving enthusiast and enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
Awards and recognition[edit]
In 2022, Liuzzi was awarded the second most influential CX/Innovation practitioner worldwide by CX Magazine and was featured as one of the top CX/innovation thought leaders [7].
She was featured as one of the top future CEOs by Gulf News in 2022 and her company, Axis Partners, has been featured as “UAE’s premier Metaverse and CX boutique advisory” by Gulf News.[2]
In 2023, she was awarded "World's Trailblazing Females Making a Mark in Business" by World's Leaders Magazine. She has also been recognized as a top metaverse talent in her region.
Her work and influence in her field continue to inspire many in the business world.
