Richard L. Jones (March 3, 1923 – April 22, 1996) was a justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama from 1972 to 1991.

"In the general election of 1972, James H. Faulkner and Richard L. Jones were elected to fill the Associate Justice positions vacated by Justice Simpson and Justice Somerville. Justice Faulkner and Justice Jones took office on January 15, 1973".[2]

"In 1991, Justice Jones retired".[2]
