Rodrigo Rodríguez, known as Rodrigo Films[1] (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; February 9, 1995) Director and Producer of music videos. Known for having directed projects such as the documentary “LA CUNA DEL DEMBOW” for Amazon Prime and other projects in the urban genre, such as directing “LA ROMANA” music video for Bad Bunny ft El Alfa, "Hermoso Momento" for Farruko and “Ya Me Acostumbre” for Arcangel.[2]
He has also worked with talents such as Rauw Alejandro ft Angel Dior making the audiovisual for “Tamo En Nota”, J Quiles ft Zion & Lennox ft Chimabala “LOCO”, El Alfa El Jefe “La Mama De La Mama”, “Suave”, among other artists. [3]

La Cuna Del Dembow Documentary[edit]
'La Cuna del Dembow' is a 50 minute, two part documentary released under Amazon Music, which was filmed in the Dominican Republic under the direction of Rodrigo Films and depicts the influence that the dembow movement has on Caribbean culture and how it emerged.[4]
Rodrigo used special guests old school and new to give thier account and voice to the story of how Dominican dembow expanded and grew as an urban genre. The special guests in this documentary including Bad Bunny, who has the first Latin Grammy nominated dembow, 'Tití Me Preguntó', Chimbala, Pablo Piddy, Yailin la Más Viral, La Insuperable, La Materialista, Farruko, Kiko El Crazy, Santiago Matías , Rochy RD, Bulin 47, Bulova, Lírico, Yomel El Meloso, and many more artists.[5]
La Cuna Del Dembow Album[edit]
Rodrigo directed the documentary for Amazon and has currently embarked on the executive production of the musical album that bears the same name as the audiovisual.[6]
“La Cuna del Dembow, album” is an album that captures the most influential urban musical style of the Dominican Republic, with the intention of greater internationalization of the genre, through collaborations with foreign exponents such as "Rebelde" which features Yaisel LM and Yovngchimi[7][8], "No Saben" Featuring Flow 28, De La Ghetto and Chris Lebron[9], "Diligencia" featuring Yaisel LM and Kodd Keo[10][11]
Styles[edit]
Rodrigo Films throughout the vast majority of his videos has concentrated on changing the negative perceptions of the neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic, giving them an artistic touch, showing them in another angle, and by shooting in locations far from affluent and bringing in opulent elements suchas golf carts, battle tanks, helicopters and four wheelers giving chase in graffitti filled streets in shanty settlements.[12] In addition to this, the implementation of Fisheye lens and special effects to distort elements in the shot are used to create what he likes to call the "Dominican Ghetto Fabulosity" .[13]
