Rofstoei, an Afrikaans term that, when translated to English, is literally 'rough wrestling', is a style of professional wrestling known mainly to and practiced in Africa. Little is known of its origin and traditional means of online research, such as Google or Bing, leave the user with no significant information on the athletic practice. Seemingly, the most popular instance of recorded, organized Rofstoei wrestling is a promotion by the name Soft Ground Wrestling Uganda (SGWU), with footage of their matches and promotional material being posted to an X account at the @SGWug handle.
