Salomon (Musical Artist)

Salomon Loman Lubberts (born 27 July 2000) is a Dutch musician, songwriter and producer. He is best known for his 2024 song Favourite Shade of Blue. Salomon's style varies from song to song, with general influences of both salsa and blues.

Early Life

Born in Amsterdam, Salomon grew up in a musical family. Especially his father, who played the guitar, bass guitar, bugle, harmonica and violin, had a big influence on his musical development. Salomon started taking classical piano lessons when he was 8 years old, but stopped at the age of 15, due to a lack of motivation for classes. In the years that followed, Salomon started developing his skills regarding music-theory, different instruments and songwriting.

Career

While studying psychology and clinical psychology at Utrecht University, Salomon wrote and released his own material. He recorded his first song Build me a Wall at the Amsterdam Recording Company. The debut single was released in 2021. A few songs and an EP followed, with his biggest hit turning out to be the 2024 song Favourite Shade of Blue. While initially recording in a recording studio, Salomon later shifted towards home-recording, due to financial difficulties.
