Draft:Samoyiki
Submission declined on 20 January 2024 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Samoyiki (Bengali: সাময়িকী) is a Bengali online newspaper from Norway.[1][2] It was founded in January 2014 to provide accurate and unbiased news from around the world, with a particular emphasis on events in Norway, Bangladesh, and West Bengal.[1][3]
The publication provides a platform for authors who write in the Bengali language to submit their articles for publishing to a global audience.[4][5]
History and profile[edit]
Samoyiki was launched on January 20, 2014, by Arifur Rahman. It is a sister concern of Toons Mag.[6] [7][8]
The publication strives to remain independent, non-partisan, and non-profit, ensuring that its reporting remains free from political or commercial influence. Samoyiki adheres to and practices the Ethical Code of Practice for the Norwegian Press by the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission.[9][10] The Newspaper focuses on online journalism, just like other Norwegian Media.[11][12]
Bengali is a widely spoken language, ranking among the top in the world.[13][14] The Bengali language has a rich literary heritage and a diverse community of speakers worldwide.[15] The language is also a medium for publishing articles on various topics important to the Bengali-speaking community, including politics, society, literature, book and review[16], culture, science[17], and debate. The platform allows writers to express their opinions and exercise their freedom of speech.[18]
Social Media and Podcast[edit]
Samoyiki is a newspaper that maintains an active presence across various social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter, where it engages with its audience and promotes journalistic content. In addition, the publication produces podcasts on arts and literature, which are accessible on popular platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Google Podcasts.[19][20][21][22][23]
Samoyiki also organizes live conversations with authors and poets on Facebook and YouTube, allowing its readers to engage with prominent figures in the literary world.
